BustoFolk 2019
FOLK PUNK FROM THE
SEVEN LAKES
The "Clurs" originated just before 2014 in the province of Varese, specifically in the area of the Seven Lakes.
The band members, already passionate about Irish music, decided to create a new punk/rock project blended with the sounds of traditional instruments.
For a couple of years, the band took its first steps performing in local venues and provincial events. Later, with a new lineup in 2016, they expanded their repertoire by playing at inter-Celtic and folk events across Italy, such as BustoFolk, Druidia, Brintaal Celtic Folk, Lughnasad, Südtiroler Highland-Games, and more.
In 2019, they released the album "Tickets Won’t Be Refunded" under the Black Dingo Production label (The Rumjacks, The Rumpled, etc.).
In 2024, they released the single "Fucked Up The Show", and their second album, produced by the same Milan-based label, is scheduled for release in 2025
NOT ONLY
IRISH
Although the project originated from Irish songs rearranged in a punk/rock style, the Clurs have a completely original “Folk” component.
In fact, many songs and melodies are inspired by the traditional repertoires of all the “Celtic Nations” and beyond, with a nod to Central France and Northern Italy.
Thus, the Clurs’ show offers a mix of sounds from inter-Celtic Europe, also highlighting their regions of origin
LIVE
SHOW
The live show spans an hour and a half or more, delivering dynamic and versatile rhythms that cater to all kinds of audiences.
It’s impossible not to feel the rhythm and get swept up in the energy.
For the most spirited attendees, there will be plenty of chances to mosh, while ballads and instrumental sections will captivate the more attentive spectators.
